Almendres Cromlech, Megalithic Site, Almendres (Evora), Portugal

One of the oldest and most important megalithic sites in Europe - known as the "Iberian Mesopotamia".

Located on one of two latitudes in the world in which full moon is visible some nights of he year at zenith (Stonehenge is on the other latitude).

This structure, with the nearby Menhir, are aligned to the surise at the summer solstice.
